The Sunshine Coast has an end-to-end education solution for every need. Welcoming local, national and international students to experience the diverse range of education and training options and move easily between various levels of study and institutions.
University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC)
With more than 17,800 enrolled students, UniSC is on track to be a comprehensive multi-campus university growing towards 35,000 students.
Since 1996, the university has consistently ranked among Australia’s top universities for student experience.
An $81 million expansion was completed in 2015, allowing the campus to cater for a larger student population to meet the growing workforce demands of the Sunshine Coast. The new facilities offer innovative learning and research spaces including an Engineering Learning Hub, Learning and Teaching Hub, Resources Building and an Aquatic Centre.
The university is also home to the Sunshine Coast Lightning netball team, the region’s first national league sporting franchise and Championship winners for 2017 and 2018.
The university undertakes research of international, national and local significance in areas such as health sciences, environmental sciences, biological sciences, veterinary sciences, and technology, with 26 research fields now rated at, or above, world standard (2019 Excellence in Research for Australia ratings).
TAFE Queensland
TAFE Queensland have four training facilities offering a wide range of study areas including beauty and hairdressing, building and construction, business, child care, community services, fashion, graphic design, horticulture, hospitality and cookery, information technology, music, nursing and health, photography, sports and fitness, and tourism and events.
