Beerburrum to Nambour Rail upgrade
Council is planning for the future so the lifestyle and stunning environment we all enjoy can be maintained as we grow.
Transport planning is a long-term process. Between 2016 and 2041 the new integrated transport network will take shape. This new infrastructure will enable us to efficiently connect people to jobs, recreation, tourism, services and education.
The mass transit plan includes a $500 million (stage one) upgrade to the existing regional heavy rail line running from Beerburrum to Nambour.
