The Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Sunshine Coast Health Institute provide a world class state-of the-art tertiary facility which is a significant contributor to the region’s economic development.

The Sunshine Coast University Hospital opened in 2017 with 450 beds, expanding to 738 beds and 4,600 staff by 2021. The Sunshine Coast Health Institute provides research as well as medical training for a robust health workforce of the future.
